According to the British tabloid The Sunday Mirror, 888 and a few airlines will be offering online in- flight gambling beginning in 2008. Irish budget airline Ryan Air is said to be the first to launch the online gambling games with more airlines soon to follow.

Thanks to new technology allowing in flight online access British Airways, Singapore Airlines, and Cathay Pacific Airline will be the next to provide travelers with the option of online gambling to pass the time during flights exclusively through 888 online casinos. ‘This will attract more players in more places every day,’ said Gigi Levy, CEO for 888. It seems like it may attract many players for 888 who otherwise may never tried or even considered online gambling, which is what 888 is probably hoping for.

This plan has caused complaints from anti-gambling groups who are considering the same outcome feeling that it will just promote more gambling problems to those who never played at an online casino before.

Passengers will be able to play their favorite games such as Poker, Blackjack, Roulette among many other games.
